rotterdam

Got here Tuesday evening. A tolerable jouney at just 37 quid. Yesterday I took my nephew and niece along to the euromast tower in Rotterdam. At 185 metres, it ain't the tallest structure in the world but it does offer great views. Especially as we got there in the evening. The lateness was my fault, I dragged the kids around Rotterdam in search of cigarettes! It took ages to find somewhere. They're not really into newsagents here. I should really give up ;-) Afterward I indulged my culinary snobbery with a Turkish pizza, stuffed with Shoarma (kebab meat) and topped with garlic sauce !! The kids passed on the shoarma.

country destinations

It's only a matter of hours away. London Victoria station, platform 19, ticket to be collected at 7am, coach departs at 8am. Bit of a problem really, it's now 2.15am. Anyway, I can sleep on the coach afterall! Arrival in Rotterdam is set for 6.30pm. A mere 10 plus hours. Sure that's nothing ! I'll get to see my brother, nephews and niece so it's worth it.

My route (subject to total alteration) of the world, by country, is Netherlands, Germany, Austria, Croatia, Bosnia, Turkey, Serbia, Hungary, Slovakia, Czech republic, Poland, Latvia, Lithuania, Estonia, Russia, Mongolia, China, Japan, Hong Kong, Vietnam, Cambodia, Laos, Thailand, Singapore, South Africa, Argentina, Chile, Peru, Paraguay, Bolivia, Brazil and finally, saving the best to last, Dublin.

My account of this route will form the basis of this blog.
